Hello family and friends!!!
So I have only spent a short time in Lancaster and have moved on to Wigan!!!! I am so sad that I am leaving Lancaster so soon but I know that the work moves on!!! I will definitely miss Ray and Maria! But Wigan so far has been amazing!!!
This week was just chock full of miracles!!!! So first and foremost, we have a friend named Deborah. She is from Namibia and has a little girl that us only 2 months old. She has been meeting with missionaries for quite a while but has moved around a lot. She just moved to Wigan and we had a lesson with her. She asked us almost immediately what baptism was explained it to her and once she understood she wanted it for herself!!! She is being baptised on October 9!!!! Actually on Sister Terrys birthday(my companion). Deborah is probably the most humble person I have ever met. She has been through a lot but she has so much faith in Jesus Christ and wants to understand our religion and especially the Book of Mormon.
Another thing is that the mission is doing something really exciting these next 21 days!!! So the church has issued an England book of Mormon challenge where they have 21 questions and 21 answers through the Book of Mormon. We have to go through only part of the book of Mormon each day and share it with any friends we meet. We were setting up a banner and table to do a street display to introduce it when, even before we started, 2 people came up to us interested in what we were doing!!!! It just really showed to me how the challenges and resources the prophet gives us are truly inspired. I have seen so much this week how this challenge has opened the hearts of the people we find and teach. I love this gospel!!!!
Something incredible happened this week as well!!! Kinda funny, we were running for morning exercise when we met a man named Isaac. That's right we found someone while we were exercising!!! He is amazing. He is from Ethiopia and is searching for Christ's true church. He kept on messaging after us saying wow I can't believe I met those 2 girls haha.
I am so grateful for the chance I have to teach the people in Wigan. The more I learn and especially teach, the more I realize the magnitude of my calling here on earth and my Heavenly Father's love for all of His children.
I love you all and hope you have an amazing week!!!
P.S. I also have something to show you!!! So I became famous on my missionπππ Look up David A. Ramsden on Facebook and scroll down til you find a video with Mormons v. Vegan. Then you get to hear my incredible voice. Show it to the boys. It will make them go on a mission. π (mom note: I found the video and posted it below...it's so fun to see her face and hear her speak!!)
